It’s hard to get motivated everyday to make a substantial lunch for work. But you shouldn’t have to worry about that every morning and we don’t want you to settle for eating a soggy sandwich at your desk. Taking one day out of the week to pull out your stock pots and roasting pans and cook a few big batches of grains, veggies, sauces, and proteins will have you set for the rest of the week. Here are a few we recommend putting to use:

ROASTING PAN

Meet your new best friend: The 15-inch roasting pan. Ideal for roasting big portions of spiced veggies or herbed potatoes to eat throughout the week. You can also bake chicken drumsticks or juicy pork thighs, or maybe layer up some homemade lasagna or eggplant parmesan.

STOCK POT

The 6-quart 18/10 stainless steel pasta cooker is exactly what you need for, well, pasta. Boil a box or two of your favorite noodles and create a few different dishes. Add in roasted veggies, a tasty sauce, and even a bit of protein if you’re feeling extra hungry. A stock pot is also perfect for blanching veggies.

ENAMELED CAST IRON DUTCH OVEN

Though it also works for cooking grains and pastas, this is where you’re going to be able to make those tasty sauces, whip up a quick chili or stew, or sear ground beef. A hefty portion of the simplest tomato sauce is ideal for pouring over pasta and a spicy curry is even better on rice. Depending on your schedule, you can also let a slow braise do all the work in the oven while you get some R&R.

DEEP SAUTÉ PAN

Double the size of your regular stir-fry with a 5-quart Tri-ply Stainless Steel Deep Sauté Pan. Sear a few extra pieces of steak or chicken thighs for the week, as this pan can handle it. You can even sauté a pound or two of mushrooms  to accompany your grains and proteins.
